Paints are composed of a variety of ingredients, with some being harmful to our health and the environment. One of the most harmful chemicals that are typically found in paint as well as many cleaning products, are Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs are toxic carbon based chemicals that evaporate into the air, forming pollution and reducing indoor air quality. They are added to paints to make them spread more easily and last longer, however they can cause short and long term health problems amongst those that are exposed to them.

Health effects may range from nausea, headaches and dizziness to liver and kidney damage and possibly even cancer. Hence why many people today are opting for paint solutions that do not consist of VOCs, or contain only a small amount. Paints that have a low VOC count generally emit less odours, making them easier to withstand.

Low VOC paints generally dry at a faster rate, which can result in rough surfaces with an uneven sheen, if not applied properly by professionals. The team at All Districts Coating are highly trained in correctly applying low VOC paints and understand that they require different techniques and equipment to achieve the desired finish.

We are specialists in skilfully applying low odour natural coatings to residential, commercial and industrial properties, in a manner that will leave you with a uniform paint thickness and consistent finish.
